Size & Fit
Find your fit, then compare the measurements for the exact style and size you want. Use a similar pair you already own as a reference.
Before you choose a size
- Open the size chart in the product description. Measurements and fabric stretch vary by style.
- Lay your reference pair flat and smooth it without stretching the fabric. Compare the same measurements in the same units.
- Check the inseam, thigh and leg opening as well as the waist. A size label alone does not describe the shape of the leg.
How to read our measurements
The diagram below shows the measuring points. Check whether a chart lists a flat width or a full circumference before comparing numbers.
- Rise: From the top of the waistband to the crotch seam.
- Inseam: Along the inside leg, from the crotch seam to the hem.
- Thigh: Around the leg about 1 inch below the crotch, as shown in the diagram.
- Leg opening: Around the bottom hem. To compare a flat hem width with a circumference measurement, double the flat width.

Choose the shape you want
- Flare: For example, Jet Black Flare Pants are slim through the thigh with a slight flare and a slit hem. Check individual styles for zipper or slit details.
- Baggy: Explore baggy denim for a wider silhouette. Compare thigh and leg-opening measurements to your current jeans.
- Ian stacked jeans: The M.Blue Ian Stack Jeans have a mid rise and tapered leg. Check the inseam and opening for the amount of fabric you want around your shoes.
- Loose-fit cargos: Black Loose Fit Cargo Pants have an oversized fit and adjustable ankle cords. Review the chart for the exact size you choose.
